Here are a few tips for this pattern.  READ ALL THE NOTES!!!  Rebeckah does an excellent job of explaining certain techniques used, such as tall and short ridges.  If you get lost somewhere, she has links to picture and video tutorials in many places `to help you out as well as extensive picture tutorials IN the pattern.

The week before Halloween, this beauty of a pattern came across my radar during my daily designer stalking.  It had all the elements I wanted - Using thread, functional, and HECKA cute!

Welcome to my first pattern review! I've been meaning to do this for a while, but, since I've been involved in Get Stuffed, life has been extremely busy!

If you know me, you know I am not a super huge fan of Autumn.  It just tells me that Winter is coming...4 months of perpetual cold and grey.  I do, however, ADORE pumpkins!!  They remind me of the pumpkin carving parties my parents hosted when I was a kid.  Also, it's something that allows me to enjoy the color Orange, which is one of my faves!

The best thing is that she is really great at helping out crocheters who reach out for help in a timely manner.  This means that you won't be waiting too long if you get stuck.

Rebeckah has labeled the pattern as 'Intermediate' and I agree with this.  However, you won't know if you can until you try, right?

I used Universal Yarn Nazli Gelin Garden Egyptian Cotton Crochet Thread, which is a size 10 thread, double stranded with a 3 MM hook.  I crochet tightly, though.  Mine came out just a tad bigger than hers.

One more tip - SLIP STITCH LOOSELY!!  I tried (I have a tight tension) and it still wasn't loose enough.  However, I discovered if you DO accidentally sl st too tightly, it worked to crochet into the top when making the vines.

My bag is shown with about 3 pounds of coins in it.  I could double that amount and it would still hang without any worry of tearing the drawstring.

That being said, you could use this bag for all sorts of things!  Buttons, notions, jewelry findings...STITCH MARKERS...and you could make it a gift grab bag for someone, just stuff a bunch of small knick knacks in it! The possibilities are endless.

Rebeckah's Treasures is having some fun on her page with a great contest, of which I am am sponsor!  Go check it out here, and while you're there, check out her other free patterns!
